Lucius have announced that ‘Neighbours’ is the new single to be taken from their recent acoustic record ‘Nudes’. The news comes as the band prepare to play an intimate show at London’s Union Chapel on the 6th September. The show is completely sold out.
Fronted by the supremely dynamic duo of Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig, the last 5 years have seen Lucius become one of the most celebrated new bands to come out of America – known for their visually arresting aesthetic, iconic vocal performances and a pair of albums (released in 2013 and 2016) which have both been widely loved and critically praised. Along the way, they’ve built a stunningly loyal fan base in every corner of the globe – a credit to their relentless touring, and astoundingly good live shows.
This year, it all continues and due to high demand and an inability to take a break from writing and recording, Lucius have produced ‘NUDES’ – a 10 track acoustic album three songs from the band’s back catalogue, three covers and three brand new songs including ‘Neighbors’ – the brand new single. Like the rest of the songs on the album, it’s a track that perfectly showcases their hugely powerful and soulful vocals.

With their counterpart bandmates Dan Molad and Pete Lalish, Jess and Holly have toured across the globe playing sold out shows everywhere they’ve gone, along with countless festival slots. They’ve shared the stage and contributed vocals with a variety of renowned musicians including Jack White, Mavis Staples, Nathaniel Rateliff, The War On Drugs, John Legend, Jeff Tweedy, Tegan & Sara and David Byrne. And they’ve spent the majority of 2017and 2018 singing backing vocals on a mammoth arena-conquering tour with Roger Waters including a stop off in London last month at Hyde Park’s British Summer Time.
Earlier this year, Lucius played a run of special acoustic shows across the US – all of which completely sold out, creating more and more demand for more dates. Lucius are now preparing to make a long-awaited return to UK shores to play their own headline set at the intimate Union Chapel. In September, they’ll support Portugal, The Man back in the US.
