“Exciting, passionate and well-crafted, the Nordic Giants’ show is a tour de force” – William Goodchild, BBC Film Composer

“It’s music that the word ‘cinematic’ was invented for” – Echoes and Dust

Following their success supporting God Is An Astronaut on their recent UK Tour and the release of their double ‘Build Seas’ c/w ‘Dismantie Suns’ ep, the enigmatic feathered shaman Nordic Giants are to grace a special, one off London show when they play Cargo on Thursday 1 May – their biggest show in the capital to date. In advance of the show, Nordic Giants will also release a free download of their ‘Through A Lens Darky’ track which was championed by the BBC’s Ski Sunday programme and included in their extensive Sochi Olympics coverage:

‘Through A Lens Darkly’

Having built a bourgeoning fanbase with their live reputation, seeing Nordic Giants has been described as akin to a religious experience. With multi screen visuals, powerful strobes and exquisitely timed accompaniment, all overlaid with award winning short films, this Brighton duo now sell out medium sized venues across the UK by word of mouth alone. Equal part art installation and band, anonymous behind their extravagant feather and bone masques, smoke and strobe lights, Nordic Giants unleash cinematic euphoria, saturated with swelling ambience, pounding drums, epic builds, massive riffs and refined compositions as they switch instruments and guests float in and out of the stage; as their haunting soundscape is set against the poignant backdrop of award-winning visuals.

“Truly inspirational, a must see for all music lovers and film buffs.” – Bram Ttwheam – Aardman Animations

Having also performed alongside Public Service Broadcasting and collaborated with a plethora of talent including Alex Hedley, Cate Ferris and Freya, these compelling shows are not to be missed.

With a dozen key festival dates throughout the summer, and plans to deliver their unique audio visual experience on stages across Europe, the duo are currently finishing recording their much anticipated debut album for release in Autumn this year.

“Nordic Giants may be elusive, but they put on one hell of a show” – Fredperrysubculture
