Lulu James WATCH: ‘Closer’ video
New single out April 7th on RCA
Lulu James first entered our musical consciousness with her self-released debut EP ‘Rope Mirage’ in late spring 2012. After a busy summer of live shows and writing sessions the young lass from Tyneside signed to RCA before releasing her second, independent single ‘Be Safe’ on influential new label Black Butter in November.
‘Closer’ is the first release proper on RCA – a standout track sprung from her writing and recording sessions with The Invisible’s Dave Okumu, a musician and producer Lulu instantly hit it off with in the studio. His ability to bring the best out of her lyricism and vocal talents is beautifully displayed in this 21st Century soul single. Remixes will come from Kidnap Kid, Brolin and Domzilla.
