The duo might take on a darker tone with their latest track, but as chords ring brazen and clear along refrains of “you do it ’cause it hurts” it’s a struggle not to feel elated.”The Line of Best Fit
“a big, bright, bouncy tune, one that recalls the era when postpunk was just starting to morph into new wave”Stereogum
“It tells the story of a relationship through both sides, managing to find a sweet spot between bouncy synths and angular riffs in the process”DIY
Following the success of their first singles in the fall Manchester girlfriend/boyfriend duo Luxury Death are back with their new single “Glue”, alongside the announcement of their debut EP of the same name. The Glue EP is due on February 24 via PNKSLM Recordings on limited edition vinyl and digital, and includes the band’s debut single “Radiator Face” and brand new single “Glue”, as well as another two new tracks, with the duo describing “Glue” as “a conversation between two lovers at different stages in their lives. They are chained together; simultaneously holding each other close & pulling each other apart. Glue is an expression of that tight, unbalanced unity”.

Punk Slime Recordings are proud to present Luxury Death and their hotly anticipated debut EP Glue, which follows a run of three singles during the fall of 2016. Luxury Death is the brainchild of boyfriend/girlfriend duo Ben Thompson & Meg Williams, with the project started as “something else to do in the bedroom together” but quickly blossoming into a fully conscious band, churning out hauntingly bittersweet lo-fi.
The band were immediately signed to PNKSLM Recordings and released three introductory singles last year, and have since performed stand-out sets in London, Manchester & Stockholm. With a clear buzz surrounding them, Luxury Death are now sharing their new offering in the form of debut EP Glue, accompanied by an art zine designed by the couple.
The sharp glitchy keyboards, off-kilter guitars, electronic leaning beats and soft whispered harmonies of “Glue” see Thompson & Williams take a darker slant on their brand of no-wave DIY pop than before, while offering up perhaps their catchiest moment to date.
The Glue EP is due on February 24 on baby pink vinyl (ltd to 500 copies worldwide) alongside an exclusive zine, as well as digitally.

Press for Luxury Death:
“a lament masked as a breezy summer jam” Stereogum
“it’s the sound of waking up with a crushing hangover and comedown, but lying sweatily next to the one you snog” Noisey
“If this first single is any indication, the first body of work from them will be awesome”Stereogum
“All extreme close-ups of warped everyday objects being burnt, battered and bruised, the Ed Crisp directed clip is proof that there’s artistic statements by the bucketload buried beneath that seemingly-frivolous, warming fuzz-pop.” DIY
“a love song for the anarchic generation, set to continue blossoming into something potentially terrifying”Punktastic
“Luxury Death are the closest thing to a perfect lo-fi, nihilistic boy/girl duo out there” GoldFlakePaint
