Lykke Li shares Mura Masa remix of ‘Sick of Love’
LYKKE LI
SHARES MURA MASA REMIX OF ‘SICK OF LOVE’
FOLLOWING THE RELEASE OF ACCLAIMED ALBUM THE AFTERPARTY, LYKKE LI UNVEILS A REIMAGINED VERSION OF THE FAN FAVOURITE TRACK

Today, Lykke Li shares a striking new remix of “Sick of Love” from acclaimed producer, songwriter, and Grammy Award-winning artist Mura Masa. Transforming one of the emotional centerpieces of her recently released album The Afterparty, Mura Masa injects the track with a hypnotic pulse while preserving the raw vulnerability at the heart of Lykke’s original recording.
Originally featured on The Afterparty, Lykke Li’s sixth studio album released via Neon Gold/Futures on May 8, “Sick of Love” quickly emerged as a standout, capturing the album’s themes of destruction and rebirth. The Mura Masa remix reframes the song through a late-night electronic lens, bringing new energy to one of the album’s biggest standouts.
The release arrives amid a remarkable moment in Lykke Li’s career. Last month, Drake’schart-dominating single “Janice STFU”, which interpolates Lykke’s beloved classic “I Follow Rivers”, earned the Swedish singer-songwriter her first-ever songwriting credit on a Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 record. The achievement came as Drake simultaneously occupied nine spots in the Hot 100’s Top 10, setting multiple chart records in the process.
Released earlier this spring, The Afterparty has been hailed as one of Lykke Li’s most intimate and emotionally fearless works to date. Written during what she described as her “existential era,” the album finds her exploring themes of mortality, desire, revenge, shame, hope, and transformation across a collection of deeply personal songs.
With the Mura Masa remix of “Sick of Love,” Lykke Li continues to expand the world of The Afterparty, inviting listeners deeper into one of the most compelling and celebrated chapters of her career.
