Mabel performed a show-stopping rendition of global hit ‘Don’t Call Me Up’ at the MTV EMAs this weekend, where she was also nominated for 3 prizes (‘Best New’, ‘Best Push’ and ‘Best UK & Ireland Act’). Taking to the stage in Seville flanked with an army of dancers, the high-energy routine and stunning staging elevated Mabel’s ascent as one of the UK’s breakout stars. This comes on the heels of Mabel’s world tour with Khalid, and the release of her debut album ‘High Expectations’ – which charted at number 3 and also features ‘Mad Love’ (one of the top 10 selling singles by a UK female artist in 2019) and of course ‘Don’t Call Me Up’ (the highest-selling single by a UK female artist in 2019). Between all that, Mabel has also found time to collaborate with Tiesto on ‘God Is A Dancer’, which racked up a further hit for the piar.
