Mallory Knox drop deluxe version of debut LP and embark on tour
Imposing guitar riffs, rolling rhythms and a powerhouse rock ethic are three ways you could put it. Whichever you prefer, though, there’s no denying that Signals was one hell of a record.
The debut album from Mallory Knox, unveiled back in January, hit number one in the iTunes Rock Chart and number 35 in the Official UK Album Chart. It also included singles such as Beggars, one of Zane Lowe’s Hottest Records In The World and a Sarah Cox favourite; and Lighthouse, the Radio 1 Review Show’s ‘Most Loved Track of 2012’, a Kerrang A-list record and Kerrang TV video of the week.
With such a response the imminent arrival of a new deluxe version of the LP, on A Wolf At Your Door / Search & Destroy (Sony Music), will come as no surprise. And the news doesn’t end there, either. The Cambridge-based band embark on a UK tour in November, following support shows for the likes of Don Broco and FINCH, not to mention dates at Reading, Leeds, 2000 Trees, and Takedown earlier this year. Their most significant string of gigs yet, it’s further proof of why Scuzz pointed to Mallory Knox as ones to watch for serious success in the future, and a jewel in the class of 2013’s crown.
