Manhattan based folk artist The Collect Pond

Manhattan based folk artist The Collect Pond is quickly establishing itself as a potent folk act in the city. Songwriter/Audio engineer Danny Moffat uses recording techniques learned while working under Ayad Al-Hadamy (Passion Pit, Team Spirit) at Diamond City Studios (Cold Fronts, The Happy Fits) in New York. Danny mixes experimental fingerpicking with “light pure vocals and lyrics that are relatable” (Portland Notes), making The Collect Pond an artist to follow.

The first single, “You Changed Your Hair”, is on the self-titled EP, and will be featured in the upcoming webseries “It’s Freezing Out There.” The song is about seeing folk-singer Aldous Harding perform a raucous show in Brooklyn last summer, when an audience member puked on the front of the stage.

The Collect Pond has released a single “You Changed Your Hair” on Spotify (and other streaming services), coinciding with the album release on April 19, 2018. Check out the link above to consider showing the video for “You Changed Your Hair” below.
