MENACE BEACH SHARE NEW VIDEO FOR ‘FORTUNE TELLER’
LOWTALKER EP OUT NOW ON MEMPHIS INDUSTRIES
TOURDATES IN FEBRUARY, MARCH AND MAY
Leeds’ Menace Beach have been making waves since the beginning of 2014 with their Lowtalker EP, a scuzzed up, hook laden delight of a record. Now they can unveil a brand new video to stand out track ‘Fortune Teller’, directed by Joey Fourr.
Ryan Needham explains:

“I’m a big fan of Joeys Crumb Cabin stuff so I didn’t want to offer up any ideas in terms of direction, I just wanted him to take it wherever he felt. He talked about how woozy and hypnotic the track was and vaguely mentioned doing some ‘miniature scenes, simultaneously playing out fortunes’.
“It’s turned out so great – how could it not when there is a spinning alien face in it? We used the video as part of the projections at our last show, and with how loud we play and the intense colours and stuff going on it was total sensory overload.”
Currently in the studio recording their debut album, you can find out how exactly loud Menace Beach play at the following shows:
06 Feb – The Black Heart, London, NME Awards show
15 Feb – The Harley, Sheffield w/ Cheatahs
01 Mar – Plug, Sheffield w/ Drenge
12 Mar – Old Blue Last, London
02 May – Live at Leeds, Leeds
Spearheaded by Derby natives Ryan Needham and Liza Violet, Menace Beach is an amorphous group of local musicians including Matt Spalding, MJ (Hookworms), Rob Lee (Pulled Apart by Horses), Nestor Matthews (Sky Larkin).
