Today marks the global release of Oh Inhuman Spectacle, the crepuscular debut album by Australian trio Methyl Ethel. To celebrate, the band have launched a video to their latest single ‘Twilight Driving’. Premiered by NME.com, watch the video below, or click here.
‘Twilight Driving’
Borne out of the remote fringes of Perth, Western Australia, linchpin Jake Webb started Methyl Ethel in 2013 as a way of getting his bedroom recordings out in the public domain. Like 4AD peers Grimes and Bradford Cox (Deerhunter, Atlas Sound), Oh Inhuman Spectacle was crafted in isolation where Webb wrote, played and recorded everything, with fellow Perth residents Chris Wright (drums) and Thom Stewart (bass) recruited to bring the songs to life on stage.
Methyl Ethel are currently on their maiden UK and European tour, catch their exhilarating live show throughout the summer.
