“ METROPOLITAN LEGENDS ”, the debut film by STEFANO MELONCELLI (director of over 200 music videos of artists from the rap and trap scene, including Gue Pequeno and Vacca), will be screened in CERRO MAGGIORE (Milan) , Monday 29 January at The Space Cinema, and in SARONNO (Varese) on 16 February at the Cinema Silvio Pellico and on 29 February at the Nuovo Cinema Prealpi .

“ Metropolitan Legends ,” produced by SnobLab ac in co-production with James Dean Movie and Puerto Rico MNGMT , is a degraded urban fable that oscillates between verisimilitude and absurdity, set in a suburb of northern Italy.

Edoardo Costa , in the role of Mario , plays a fake billionaire who tries to defraud three friends in search of ransom. The protagonists are Gigi (played by Diego Paul Galtieri), a lazy and charming false invalid, Sandro (Mattia Travaini) a nervous municipality employee, and Chico (Fabrizio Marchegiani), a janitor with personal and relational problems, who spend most of their days at the local bar playing cards and chatting with friends. With them Giusy (Chiara Pollicino), a woman who is unable to have a stable love relationship, and Tini (Papa K Mensah), a charming and elegant non-EU drug dealer.

Mario will shake up their lives but will end up being involved and dragged into their world.

Also in the cast are Marco Claudio Pira in the role of Marietto , Dario Nicoli plays the character of Succhino and Carlo Sortino in the role of Franco , the owner of the bar.

The film is a modern and entertaining suburban story in which the protagonists are people on the margins of society.

The director describes them with detachment as they seek their place in society, believing themselves to be heroes when their only superpower is to remain invisible. But ” Urban Legends ” leads the viewer to become fond of the protagonists’ quirks and ways of acting , questioning preconceptions and prejudices about the “last ones”.

The original soundtrack “ Metropolitan Legends ” will be available digitally from February 2nd. The music and songs were created by Vince Giacalone, Davide Donghi, Melo, Lanzkhan, Fem, the rock musician Fioramante, the rapper Naghi and the bluesman Mario Bartilucci.

Stefano Meloncelli , born in Milan and raised in Varese, has directed more than 200 music clips as a director for numerous artists in the rap scene, including Gue Pequeno, Babaman, Vacca, G. Nano, Lanz Khan, DJ Dropsy, Maxi B, Sinplus and many others. He also collaborated on the video for ” Street code ” by EnMiCasa with the American rapper B-Real, in the official soundtrack of the film Fast and Furious – Only original parts. Stefano , also active as a rapper aka Melo, he has been creative director of the independent label Snob Music since 2012.
