Santa Barbara electronic-tinged electronic duo just premiered another beautiful new single “Watery Dreams”. As Adrian Maseda of All Things Go Music puts it, Watery Dreams “sounds a bit like the musical equivalent of watercolor painting; smooth instrumental brushstrokes, softened vocal edges and a muted feel throughout the track.”

In case you haven’t heard of the band yet, they’re an electronic-tinged indie rock duo based out of LA. Personally, I got really hooked on the band’s intricate arrangements and subtle synth-layering. Overall, the band’s sound is an intriguing blend of ethereal soundscapes and infection pop, which singer Allison Thompson’s vocals seem to glide over.

Their first single “Fade” reached number #1 on Hype Machine last year, and was named one of the best songs of the year by Hilly Dilly and subsequent releases “Shot The Moon” and “Colors” also made a pretty big splash in the blog world
