Mise en Scene – ‘Waster’ (June 16, 2017)

Winnipeg’s emotive garage indie-rock trio Mise en Scene returned with their sophomore full length album, ‘Still Life On Fire’, due out June 30, preceeded on the 16th by single  ‘Waster’. The latest album cut encourages self respect and freeing yourself from someone that wastes your time, something the present UK goverment should take to heart aside from open goals, there is a lot to be said for a mental evaluation to improve your life and those surroundings.

One advantage for Mise en Scene is their intense touring schedule resulting in a more rounded and agreeable crowd-tested approach, helped that the band’s alternative flare is both acessable and worthy.

‘Waster’ whets your appitite for the what’s to come, makes the loss of so many guitar strings to drum heads were minor incidents on route to what promises to be a good full length. 7.7/10
