Moonface Announces One-Off UK Show 3rd November

Following on from the news of his forthcoming album, Moonface – aka Spencer Krug – has announced he’ll play an intimate one-off UK show in November. Taking place at London’s St Pancras Old Church on the 3rd November, this show is the earliest opportunity for fans to hear the elegaic ‘Julia With Blue Jeans On’ rendered in an equally beautiful setting. The new record will be released the week before, 28th October, through Jagjaguwar in the UK and Europe.

For his latest project, Spencer Krug abandons the instruments and effects he used during his years in Wolf Parade and Sunset Rubdown. There are no programmed beats, buttons to push, distortion, or overdubs. ‘Julia with Blue Jeans On’ is just a piano and his voice.
It’s less noisy, more straightforward music — a Krug-described love record. ‘Julia with Blue Jeans On’s no-barriers approach brings a degree of intimacy and self-reflection unlike anything he has produced to date.
