While on tour last Autumn, Moonface performed an intimate show at London’s St. Pancras Old Church. Captured by director Phil Poole this live video of album title track ‘Julia With Blue Jeans On’ showcases how powerful a solo piano can be in the hands of Spencer Krug. The hushed moments are made even more stunning in comparison to the forceful crescendos that fill the church.

Moonface is currently at the beginning of a full European and UK/IE tour, calling at a sold-out Royal Albert Hall on Monday 27th January and continuing on til mid-February before going to the USA. Full details of the European and UK shows are below.
Current album ‘Julia With Blue Jeans On’ abandons the instruments and effects Spencer Krug used during his years in Wolf Parade and Sunset Rubdown. There are no programmed beats, buttons to push, distortion, or overdubs – just a piano and his voice. It’s less noisy, more straightforward music — a Krug-described love record. ‘Julia with Blue Jeans On’s no-barriers approach brings a degree of intimacy and self-reflection unlike anything he has produced to date.
In 2013 Moonface topped year-end charts with #16 at Cokemachineglow, #34 at Drowned in Sound, and #46 at The Quietus.
