MOURN SHARE NEW SONG ‘OTIS’

SELF-TITLED DEBUT LP OUT 16TH FEBRUARY 2015 ON CAPTURED TRACKS

Captured Tracks is incredibly pleased to welcome to its roster MOURN, who have shared a new song from their self-titled debut LP. Stream ‘Otis’ now and read a Pitchfork Rising feature with the young Catalan foursome http://pitchfork.com/features/rising/9546-mourn/

Born from the friendship of Jazz Rodríguez Bueno and Carla Pérez Vas – who later recruited drummer Antonio Postius and bassist Leia Rodríguez – MOURN are self-proclaimed “nerds playing music and shit at the doors of hell.”
Paying homage to the likes of PJ Harvey, Patti Smith, Sebadoh and Sleater-Kinney, but with such subtle and sophisticated reverence, it’s hard to believe that they’re so young (Jazz [18], Carla [18)] Antonio [18] and Leia [15]) .

On 16th February 2015, Captured Tracks will release the band’s self-titled debut on vinyl, which will feature eleven tracks recorded live over just two days in the studio. You can listen to and download lead single ‘Silver Gold’ right now below as well as ‘Otis’.
