NEW YORK, NY JULY 13, 2017— Following the release of their new viral summer single, “Vacation”, DIRTY HEADS unveil the track’s official music video—Watch it below.
Channeling 90’s nostalgia and celebrating all things summer vacation, the video stars Saved By The Bell’s beloved Mr. Belding (Dennis Haskins) and takes us back to the empty halls of Bayside High as Belding relishes school letting out for summer. Co- directed by Wayne Isham [Metallica, Foo Fighters, Michael Jackson] and Ryan Ewing, the clip features references to the show’s most revered moments including Zack Morris’ brick phone, Jesse Spano’s caffeine pills, and of course the iconic Bayside Tiger Mascot.
Produced by frequent Dirty Heads collaborator Jonas Jeberg [Demi Lovato, Juicy J, Nicki Minaj], “Vacation” is the lead track off Dirty Heads’ sixth LP, out later this year on Five Seven Music. Released June 30th, “Vacation” has already seen 3.5 Million streams to date and is entering its second week as the #1 Most Added at Alternative Radio two weeks in a row. The single debuted at #11 on iTunes’ Alternative Song Chart and continues to hold steady Spotify’s viral charts following release week peaks at #6 on Spotify’s US Viral 50, #14 on Spotify’s Global Viral 50, and has been added to Spotify’s Viral Hits playlist, proving “Vacation” to be the ultimate summer smash—Stream it HERE.
“I want ‘Vacation’ to speak to people out there who have paid their dues and love their jobs,” explains Dirty Heads’ Jared “Dirty-J” Watson. “For those who don’t enjoy what they do every day, it sends a message that, ‘It’s not too late to do something else.’ If you’re not happy, life is way too fucking short to hang around and do things you don’t love. We’re blessed to do something we’re passionate about. We hope you feel the same!”
Currently, the gold-certified Orange County-based band is in the midst of a massive co-headline summer tour with SOJA. The tour leads up to the first-ever KLOS Presents High & Mighty Festival August 5-6 at Oak Canyon Park in Orange County, CA. A shared vision between co-headliners Dirty Heads and Sublime with Rome, the powerhouse lineup also boasts SOJA, Jurassic 5, Redman, Stick Figure, Tribal Seeds, Tech N9ne and more. The band’s full itinerary can be found below.

About DIRTY HEADS
Inhaling alternative, pop, hip-hop, reggae, and rock and exhaling one irresistible and infectious anthem after another, DIRTY HEADS—Jared “Dirty J” Watson [vocals], Dustin “Duddy B” Bushnell [vocals/guitar], Jon Olazabal [percussion], Matt Ochoa [drums], & David Foral [bass]—have been redefining the sound of Southern California since 2003. The group first made a splash with their full-length 2008 debut Any Point In A Storm. The record yielded the RIAA gold-certified smash “Lay Me Down,” and it held #1 on the Billboard Alternative Chart for 11 weeks: longer than any single that year by any other artist. 2014’s Sound of Change earned acclaim from the likes of Esquire and bowed at #8 on the Billboard Top 200 as its first single “My Sweet Summer” captured #3 on Alternative Radio. Meanwhile, the band’s 2016 self-titled Dirty Heads went Top 15 on the Top 200 and spawned the smash “That’s All I Need,” which racked up over 10.5 million Spotify streams and counting. Noisey described it as “Killer.” Beyond selling out countless shows around the world, the band will headline its own High & Mighty Festival in 2017 in addition to launching its own premium cannabis vape pen in partnership with stick.e.vape.
