Debut album 18th November 2013

“McCool has that extra something that makes her a cut above even her most talented peers” – Chris Hawkins, BBC 6 Music

Liverpool-based artist Natalie McCool kicks off her autumn UK tour on November 7th at The Kazimier.

A singer, guitarist, songwriter and winner of ‘Female Artist of the Year’ at the Liverpool Music Awards 2013, Natalie has been described as “the lovechild of Johnny Marr and Elizabeth Fraser”. Delivering songs bursting with dark, deep lyrical metaphor and blending chorus-drenched guitar hooks with an all-powerful voice, Natalie has received accolades from BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson, Guardian and Louder Than War journalist, John Robb and Liverpool’s arts, music and film magazine, The Double Negative.

Her childhood years spent drawing together a fine fabric of influences from Jeff Buckley, Cocteau Twins, PJ Harvey & The Stone Roses, McCool rose up, and with a dagger’s aim, unleashed a formidable body of work- an enthralling sonic panorama that dislocates you into its gravity: at times controversial; yet always delivered with absolute conviction.

Her debut album is released on November 18th and features a bridge on first track ‘America’ written by Sir Paul McCartney and legendary guitarist and producer Bernard Butler on guitar on the second track, ‘Thin Air’.
