Rising soul powerhouse Nectar Woode delivers her new single ‘Rivers End’, the third teaser from her highly anticipated forthcoming mixtape ‘Naturally’, out Friday 26th June.
‘Rivers End’ follows BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record ‘Lights Off’ and title track ‘Naturally’,setting the tone for the summer mixtape which explores themes of love, self-acceptance and a restless mind. Framed as a metaphor for peace and acceptance, Nectar’s flow of finding herself unfolds across the forthcoming project, presenting an introspective journey of growth.
On the release Nectar Woode said:
“This song is about me going on a walk to the Rivers End, passing all my previous mistakes and fears. The Rivers End is where I accept myself for who I am, flaws, mistakes, uniqueness and all.”
Adding to an already stand-out year for the rising star, from joining Olivia Dean for a special BRITs Week performance to selling out her headline debut at Jazz Cafe in May, Nectar will next week announce her forthcoming October headline tour featuring London’s iconic KOKO. Following in the footsteps of many legendary acts to have graced the venue’s prestigious stage, the show will see Nectar perform with her band, marking another milestone in her live evolution. Tickets for October’s KOKO show will go on general sale Friday 22nd May at 10am BST /11am CEST – for more information visit HERE and see full dates below.
On her forthcoming KOKO debut, Nectar Woode said:
“This has been my dream venue for a very long time, I can’t believe I’ll be playing KOKO on 21st October! This is my biggest show yet and what a privilege to play in such an iconic venue! See you in autumn”
The ‘Naturally’ mixtape and tour will follow a jampacked summer for Nectar, with her European tour in collaboration with NOTION and dollop set to kick off in London before heading to Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin in May. This year’s festival run will also include performances at Good Vibrations Society in Sussex, Down The Rabbit Hole in Holland, Printemps de Bourges in France, and a major support slot for GRAMMY-award winning band Bastille on Saturday 11th July.
