Last week,IHEARTCOMIX’s IHC 1NFINITY label released a short film “So Many Things To Tell You”, set to Mark Redito’s music and premiered via VICE’s Noisey HERE. Directed by Franki Chan and written by Franki Chan & Jesus Rivera, the short film, an homage to early John Carpenter films meets Marvel movies, expands the universe cannon and re-introduces the IHC 1NFINITY label. Picking up one year after Gavin Turek “Don’t Fight It” music video, “So Many Things To Tell You” sets the stage for the 1NFINITY story to come…
Obsessed with a popular new toy, the Ziggurat!, an estranged couple pick up a hitchhiker (Alex) on their way camping. Upon arrival they discover a weird cast of characters, each obsessed with this toy in their own way. What is it about the Ziggurat! that’s so special? Featuring characters and actors that have been in previous IHC 1NFINITY videos like Pictureplane “Hyper Real”, Chela “Handful of Gold” and Gavin Turek “Don’t Fight It” this latest chapter firmly establishes the world of this one-of-a-kind label that attempts to make music less disposable by creating a story fans can tap into with each release.
In the business sense the label is re-introduced with a new Caroline Records distribution deal alongside the news of their latest signing starRo, a GRAMMY nominated influential and popular Japanese artist who has his own Beats1 Radio show. His first label release will come out in July and features Bosco. Besides the short film that accompanies Mark Redito’s track, Mark will also release the first single from his upcoming new album Neutropical on June 1.
IHEARTCOMIX connects geek culture and music’s cutting edge as a content creator and media brand. About Mark Redito:
Since dropping his moniker, Spazzkid, the innovative electronic producer Mark Redito has taken time to reflect on the goals and intentions of his creative pursuits. His musical hibernation has produced a new full length record, NeuTropical that showcases a strong new sound featuring elements from Barbados beats to pop to PC Music influenced sounds. In the tradition of his first full length, Desire, NeuTropical pushes boundaries of underground and popular music giving a large array of dance tracks to hit the beach or the club to.
Over the past year he’s also built a strong a vibrant community, Likido, that spotlights people of color, women and queer identifying electronic producers. With the most recent party in March drawing 1400 people, there is no denying he is building a movement that is quickly picking up steam.
