Radioclash + Neville Staple & His Band
LIVE @ CHELTENHAM, FOLKESTONE, AYLESBURY & SHREWSBURY
RADIO CLASH plus from The Specials’: NEVILLE STAPLE & HIS BAND will be performing at Cheltenham
In1978 John Hessenthaler, against all local authority opposition, promoted THE CLASH on tour at various locations throughout the UK. The support was The Coventry Automatics, in the process at that point of changing to The Coventry Specials, later to become known as just THE SPECIALS.
In 2015, almost 37 years later, John Hessenthaler will re-create the 1978 concert at selected locations throughout the UK. RADIO CLASH will recreate THE CLASH in sound and vision together with the set list they performed in 1978 and also on the same night exclusively from THE SPECIALS, NEVILLE STAPLE and HIS BAND will perform with passion the classic songs, as he has done since that 1978 show.
Whether you were alive or not at the time of the 1978 concert or were there – this is a must be at gig for everyone – just not to be missed. This show will definitely ‘Rock The Casbah’!

Neville Staple Bio
Neville Staple is credited with changing the face of pop music not only once but twice.
Neville Staple’s thirty-five year career in the music business is well documented. From the early days with The Coventry Automatics, The Specials, & FunBoy3 in the late ‘70s and 80’s, to The Special Beat and various other collaborations during his solo career from the 90’s up to the present day.
Following on from the 2009 Specials reunion and his departure from the band in late 2012, he continues to be a forerunner of the ska movement, and continues to thrill audiences with his own excellent band at venues and festival appearances worldwide.
2013 saw the return of Neville Staple, ‘The Original Rudeboy’ with extensive touring of the UK including many festivals.
Expect to hear some of Neville’s own material, some arrangements of his very favourite old school Ska numbers, as well as some classic hits in the mix.
Nevile’s autobiography, THE ORIGINAL RUDE BOY, was published by Aurum Press in the UK in May 2009.
