The intimacy and the minimalism that stands out at the start of Blast tells a lot of Faroe’s universe in that the song evolves gently, gaining in intensity with machines and textures surrounding what is really the core of this music: Faroe’s voice the full concept for the video brought to life by 3D animator Elliot Martin.
“When I started writing songs for this EP, I was at a turning point in my life and the meaning the lyrics carry was essential to me, they were words that needed to be said and words that needed to be heard. I hope some people will find comfort and confidence in them, because I did.”- Faroe
Words is a hypnotic full body of work, full of slick percussion and electronica that will please fans of of Grizzly Bear, James Blake and Sohn. Faroe brings emotions with restraint, balancing a cold electronic production with the honest clarity of his voice.
