New Album by Lizabett Russo released 27.11.2020

Last Night From Glasgow’s imprint ‘Hive’ is excited to announce Lizabett Russo’s new album, While I Sit Here and Watch This Tree Volume 1 to be released on 27.11.2020.

The LP will be available worldwide, digitally and on vinyl. LNFG first caught wind of the artist when she opened for Gracious Losers. She has supported other acclaimed acts such as Trembling Bells and Rachel Sermanni and Tim Edey.

The album was recorded from her home during quarantine and is her first release with the independent label. Blogs and magazines (FATEA Records, Pop Mythology, Folk Radio) have raved about her previous albums, calling her “wonderfully haunting”, whilst comparing her to Kate Bush and Laura Marling.

This project ranges contemporary avant-garde, jazz and folk flavours with world influences. Russo uses her versatile voice in many creative ranges, illustrating both beautifully haunting, and serene environments. She heads the tracks on vocals with commanding depth, while sparing use of guitars, creative percussion and piano melodies mix gracefully together.
