“An independent phenomenon, the group’s multi-racial, cross-genre approach brings opposites together to see what sparks come off” – Clash
HAUS are fast becoming one of the most talked about bands in the UK.
Taken from their upcoming EP ‘SWYSEP’, HAUS the five-piece band hailing from Tottenham, today reveal new single ‘Say What You Say’.
HAUS’ say on Say What You Say – “We wanted to address the self-contradictory system we live in today. We live in a world built from thought, but it’s almost frowned upon to think outside the box. We use words like ‘war’ as a mask to make murder acceptable, and to try and prove that killing is wrong. We ALL know the way we are living is unacceptable, but we fear to do anything about it.”
HAUS have gained and sustained a loyal fan-base with previous releases Blinded’ and ‘Two Minds’, and are fast gaining more with the releases of singles ‘Gave You All’ and ‘Levels’ taken from their SWYSEP.
The band say on their forthcoming EP, “This EP highlights the main questions people are quite often scared to address, (as cliché as it sounds) why are we actually here and what is our purpose? Why is GOD and life after death such a big topic in our everyday lives at least some of it isn’t the truth? What mysteries lie beyond the reach of our senses? It also speaks about the dark time we are going at the moment but sense of hope and togetherness we’re getting from it, the sense of belief and inspiration we can draw from it. We live in a society now that oppresses our creativity and originality. A society that separates us makes us compete against each other.
We blame society, but we are society. We can change.”
Prolific on the festival circuit, HAUS played The Great Escape, Secret Garden Party, Dot-to-Dot, Truck, Live At Leeds and BBC Introducing Stage at Reading and Leeds and more. Radio support has come from Huw Stephens, Phil Taggart, BBC R1, Radio X, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing London. 2016 saw HAUS self-release two singles and played headlining shows at Club NME at KOKO to great acclaim.
The band have recently signed to Duncan Ellis’ Atlas Artist Records http://www.musicweek.com/management/read/duncan-ellis-to-launch-atlas-artists/067627 with a debut album coming in the Autumn,
