“the band seem to be total perfectionists…soaring indie songcraft.”Clash
“a truly mature and warm sound that’s perfect for the incoming autumn weather.” – The 405

Hailing from London, but with ties in Surrey, a little village called Bildeston, and Salou – a municipality in Northern Spain; alternative indie quartet Passport To Stockholm are today revealing the video for their track ‘Chemistry‘ (below).

The track has already seen love and acclaim from the likes of Clash, BBC 6 Music, Amazing Radio and many more, and according to the band…”The song is about acceptance of being without the one you want, the band wanted to encapsulate this by having themselves separated in their performance, shot alone in a challenging environment: Henri on a train track, Mariona in the middle of a road, Tom playing and Barney walking through the ethereal setting of Rowley way.”
The previously released ‘Chemistry‘ EP was funded purely by the band’s loyal fan base through a Pledge Music campaign, reaching their funding target in just two short days.

Vocalist Barny, and guitarist Tom have been working on material together since the tender age of 14, but it wasn’t until the addition of percussionist Henri Grimes, and the final piece of the puzzle – cellist Mariona De Lamo, that the line-up was complete.

The addition of these final two members, has allowed the band to hone their sound, and with their new music they’ve crafted a near perfect brand of anthemic indie-folk. The gorgeous strings snake in and out of the soaring rhythm section, with Barnard’s warm vocals acting as the perfect compliment to the warm, but totally ambitious songwriting.

The band have been working with acclaimed producers Gordon Mills Jr and Amy Wadge, who collectively have produced and helped write records for Lissie, Ed Sheeran, Newton Faulkner and Lewis Watson to name a few. Additionally, the quartet have been working closely with Carey Willets, of Athlete fame, whom they have built a strong bond with during the production and writing process.

With a whole host of very well received festival performances already under their belt, sold-out London shows, and more booked for the remainder of the year, the future looks very bright for Passport To Stockholm.
Their music is one that captivates the listener from the offset, a compelling combination of thought provoking lyrics, acoustic-folk infused instrumentals, and a heart of gold.

Passport To Stockholm are: Barny Barnard, Tom Piggott, Mariona De Lamo, Henri Grimes.
