SHARES VIDEO FOR ‘NEW RULES’
DIR. BY HENRY SCHOLFIELD
Dua Lipa today shares the video for her latest single ‘New Rules’, taken from her recently released self-titled debut album. The video, directed by Henry Scholfield and shot in Miami, is now available to watch on YouTube.
‘New Rules’ is the fifth single to be taken from ‘Dua Lipa’ and is available to buy and stream on all partners. On the motivation behind the track, Dua described it as “the breakup song I wish I had when I was breaking up with someone. I think it’s something everyone can relate to.” The video explores the bond between friends and their unity when one is going through a breakup. Having previously worked with Scholfield on the ‘Lost In Your Light’ video, Dua said “I’ve worked with Henry before and he does really cool work with choreography. He just has such brilliant ideas.”
Just a month ago, Dua Lipa released her widely critically acclaimed self-titled debut album, a record described by NME as one that “doesn’t so much hint at Lipa becoming a superstar as scream it from the rooftops.” Since then, Dua has gone on to play to one of the biggest crowds the John Peel tent had ever seen at this year’s Glastonbury Festival (watch her performance back here.) You can catch Dua’s incredible live show later this year as part of her ‘Self-Titled Tour’, making stops in 20 destinations spanning 9 countries across the UK and Europe, or touring across the US, Australia and New Zealand with Bruno Mars on his 24K Magic tour later this year.
