announce new album
Inside The Flesh Hotel
out 6th July 2018
With the recently released Songs From the Land of Nod garnering enthusiastic reviews, New York’s Beechwood delivers the follow up, Inside The Flesh Hotel out 6th July on Alive Naturalsound Records. From two-minute pop perfection, to the sound of drug-induced nightmare psychoses, the trio’s music hits you where it hurts. Beechwood are a unique force in today’s NYC music scene that is unparalleled in its straightforward ability to reflect the raw ambition of three individuals, whose checkered pasts have left them with absolutely nothing to lose, but 23 years of age.
Today the band share the first single from the album, “Bigot In My Bedroom” on BandsinTown. “Look what you’ve done to this nation, you got us tangled up in all of your lies,” sings bassist and songwriter, Sid Simons, as Isa Tineo (drums/vox) and Gordon Lawrence (guitar/vox) chime in with spirited coos and handclaps. While semi-heavy in its messaging, the song itself is an upbeat masterpiece—one that deserves to be belted out with friends at a dive bar. (Taylor Irvin, Bands In Town).

Of the song, Simons and Lawrence say, “Though we don’t consider ourselves to be a political band, it’s impossible these days to avoid the constant stream of the 24-hour bullshit media news cycle. This comes in many forms, and it is therefore a part of our everyday life – advertisements of crooked, smiling politicians, waving their arms in the air and coming at you from every direction.”
Beechwood have danced dangerously close to the edge of that abyss of hopeless degenerates to know what they have is special, and are therefore all the more determined to make the most of their talent. Though their pasts may be purposely vague, their future in rock & roll is clear.
