First single ‘Strangers’ debuts today
Ahead of two Sold Out shows at Union Chapel this weekend, Grammy-winning bluegrass pioneers Nickel Creek are already announcing their return to London to perform a special headline show at the Barbican on Friday 1st September. The new date, promoted by Serious, comes in support of their first album in nine years, ‘Celebrants,’ announced today and due for release on 24th March.
Long known for their exceptional live show, Nickel Creek – made up of mandolinist Chris Thile, violinist Sara Watkins and guitarist Sean Watkins – have been playing together since they were children, becoming a word-of-mouth sensation on the progressive bluegrass scene.
The band’s hugely successful return to the UK sold out well in advance, with anticipation for their next performance – at the Barbican for the first time – set to ramp up following this weekend and the exciting announcement of their new album.
