July 17, 2026 — Today, multi-platinum country artist and songwriterNiko Moon releases his new album ROOTS, out now via EMPIRE.The album marks Moon’s most personal project yet and a true return to the people, places, stories and sounds that shaped him.

On the new album, Moon shares, “ROOTS is the most personal music I’ve ever made. These songs are about where I come from, the people who shaped me and the values I want to carry with me wherever life takes me. Sonically, the album is inspired by the places that raised me and the sounds I grew up around, from Georgia to Texas to Nashville. I wanted it to feel honest and lived-in, like sitting around with family and friends, sharing stories and remembering what really matters. I can’t wait for people to hear the full record and to bring these songs to life out on the road.” 

Across ROOTS, Moon pulls back the curtain on where his signature optimism really comes from, tracing the road from his Georgia upbringing to the life he has built today. Marking a shift from the beachy escapism of his recent AMERICAN PALM album, the new music finds Moon digging deeper into his own story with a more grounded, reflective and emotionally honest sound, sonically drawing from the country, hip-hop, Southern soul and genre-blending influences of Texas, Georgia and Nashville that shaped both his life and music.

Featuring previously released tracks including “AMERICAN DREAMIN’,” “GET COUNTRY,” “RICH MAN” and “GEORGIA (ROOTS),” the album brings together the many sides of Moon’s artistry. From the family resilience at the heart of “AMERICAN DREAMIN’,” to the dirt-on-your-boots energy of “GET COUNTRY,” the love and perspective of “RICH MAN” and the hometown tribute of “GEORGIA (ROOTS),” ROOTS captures an artist looking back with honesty while inviting fans into his next chapter.

At its heart, ROOTS is a deeply personal reflection on the journey that brought Moon to where he is today. Raised by a young mother and a truck-driving father, he spent parts of his childhood moving between trailers and extended-stay motels before finding stability and a sense of belonging through family, community and music. Across the album, Moon looks back on those formative years and the places that shaped him while tracing the path to the life he has built today as an artist, songwriter, husband and father. Rather than leaving his past behind, ROOTS celebrates how those early experiences shaped his perspective, strengthened his optimism and taught him to measure success through family, gratitude and purpose.

Moon celebrated the release of ROOTS with a special week of events in Nashville. On July 15, he hosted the family-friendly ROOTS album release party at Maggie’s Place, bringing together friends, fans and the Nashville community for food, drinks and games ahead of the album’s release. The following night, July 16, Moon performed at the Grand Ole Opry, bringing the spirit of ROOTS to one of country music’s most iconic stages on the eve of the album’s release.

Moon will continue a busy summer on the road with July performances in Madison, IN, Lake Ozark, MO, Hampton, NH, Rhinelander, WI and Minot, ND before bringing ROOTS across the country this fall on his BACK TO MY ROOTS headline tour. Kicking off September 11th in Youngstown, OH, the run will make stops in Chattanooga, TN, Columbus, OH, Detroit, MI, Fort Lauderdale, FL and more.
