Hunger is a love song to a stray cat from the neighborhood of Nichi Mlebom, a bedroom recorder based in Brno, Czechia. Vendula Pukysova, from the Brno Noise Rock Group sinks contributed the bass.

Since the beginning of the quarantine around the Covid-19 outbreak, a cat hasalways been in sight of the kitchen window of Nichi Mlebom’s 2-room apartment in the old town of Brno. It almost looks like she knows where the tuna is kept.Perhaps this is an observation that can only be made by someone that has nothing else to do but record songs about a stray cat from the neighborhood in their bedroom and stare out of the kitchen window in between sipping coffee andsmoking cigarettes.Perhaps the cat was always there and is now enjoying making the forbidden outdoors tasty for the people behind the windows.Maybe she always dreamed of it secretly, or maybe she is even responsible for the fact that we all isolate ourselves at home now. It even might be possible that she is not as nice as the lovely, a little bit befuddled pop song in the background suggests.
