Following the release of their third album Rituals in May, Other Lives return with details of a new single ‘Easy Way Out’ on July 24th through Play It Again Sam.
Other Lives made a long awaited return to these shores with a sold out show at London’s Oslo as part of a run of sold-out [PIAS] Nites shows throughout Europe. Q magazine flagged in four star review “…Other Lives are set for a Fleet Foxes-like breakthrough”. The band return to the UK later this month when they play Glastonbury festival.

Lifted from the album, ‘Easy Way Out’ enters the fray; panoramic, widescreen melancholy lead by singer Jesse Tabish entwined with musical intricacies courtesy of his fellow band members. Tabish himself explains how the track was a late inclusion on the album:
“We had to sneak this song into the record at the very last minute. It was written in the last few weeks of the recording process, so we stayed up late and tracked pretty much the whole thing in one night, making it by far the fastest production on the record, as opposed to the 4-6 weeks per song on the others.”
