Out Now: American Football LP4
Produced & mixed by Sonny DiPierri (my bloody valentine, Portugal. The Man, Nine Inch Nails), LP4 is a triumphant return for a band that, despite releasing their iconic debut record a quarter of a century ago, is continuing to reach new musical heights.
This album finds the band confronting some of life’s harshest realities head-on, while also totally overhauling their writing and recording process.
To call LP4 a transformative record doesn’t quite capture the magic, the connection, and exploration within – but needless to say you’ll find yourself changed after listening.
In two weeks, American Football will kick off their global “No Feeling” Tour – with tickets moving fast + many dates selling out already. See you there?
“Dark, brooding, and romantic, ‘LP4’ is about who they have become, not who they were.” – GQ
“The totality of American Football’s momentum that lends the music its wallop.” – Pitchfork
“A bold evolution for the Midwest emo greats” – Stereogum
