Out Now: Meric Long (The Dodos) Kablooey
The Dodos’ member shares his debut solo album
Recorded during off hours, late nights, and in between working sessions as one of the in-house engineers for John Vanderslice’s famed Tiny Telephone recording studio (Sasami, Death Cab for Cutie, Black Pumas), Kablooey captures Long in pursuit of his sonic muse, further exploring the frenetic energy he’s long been known for, while exhibiting moments of calming restraint.
When asked about the album’s origins, Long shared that:
“This album was really meant to be fun and not too purposeful. I put a lot into it as one would expect, but I really just wanted to make something that was fun and allowed me to follow my more “amped up kid in a candy store” impulses.”
We’re so excited for you to dive in! You can listen & order your copy now. Kablooey is available on Split Decision Vinyl (limited to 100), Clear Blue Vinyl, and digital.
