West London’s underground maverick p-rallel today releases ‘I’m So High’, a new collaboration featuring the production touch of Toddla T and R&B’s rising star Tamera on vocals. The track launches alongside a visualiser filmed at p-rallel’s headline show at EartH in Hackney last Friday, rounding off a completely sold out UK tour in celebration of his new club concept, Nevermind. ‘I’m So High’ is available to watch/stream on 4ZA/Black Butter Records here: https://PRallel.lnk.to/ImSoHigh

A world-colliding collaboration made in one session, ‘I’m So High’ draws on p-rallel’s love of old skool garage anthems, Toddla T’s deft attention to production detail and Tamera’s fiery rich vocal hooks. The result of the one-take-wonder is an unpredictable yet gripping track that sees the trio pushing each other into new musical territory. p-rallel recently opened his Boiler Room set with a teaser of ‘I’m So High’ which was broadcasted in partnership with Moncler during LFW last month. Speaking on the collaboration, p-rallel explains: “Tamera & I had been making music & I was making music with Toddla at the same time & thought the three of us would be a vibe. We got in & did this in one session! I love how it reminds me of those classic garage remixes of R&B records but it’s an original vocal.”

‘I’m So High’ follows p-rallel’s first release of 2023, ‘Evening Time’, a club heater that ushered the beginnings of a new chapter inspired by the idols of his formative years (including his multi-genre DJ dad who fed him on a diet of garage, jungle and drum n bass growing up). p-rallel took the MC-heavy garage style of So Solid Crew and rewired it for the new generation in an instant breakneck classic. The track was another example of p-rallel’s successful artistic blueprint that sees him teaming up with the UK’s hottest up and coming talent – this time in the form of fellow West London rapper Kam-BU and hard-hitting storyteller, BXKS. Following the release, p-rallel took his new club concept Nevermind on the road for the first time for a 6-night tour across the UK, kicking off at Glasgow’s infamous Sub Club before rolling through Manchester, Brighton, Bristol, Liverpool & London’s EartH last Friday. Special guests joined p-rallel in the booth for a night celebrating the entire spectrum of the electronic underground.

The past 12 months have been p-rallel’s biggest yet, even by his prolific standards: he kicked off the year in the NME 100 list of emerging artists for 2023 and was crowned One To Watch by Notion, Wonderland and New Wave Magazine back in 2022 ahead of his breakthrough EP release Forward – a buzzy 6-track EP that featured a host of rising talents & friends including Sam Wise, Venna, Jords, Jeshi, Rachel Chinouriri, Fredwave, Kasien + more. The EP has racked up over 6M streams since its release and its widespread critical success led to p-rallel gracing the cover of Gauchoworld magazine’s AW22 issue earlier this year. A notorious party starter at heart, p-rallel has played a primetime sunset set at Glastonbury and sold out shows at XOYO, Fabric (in partnership with VICE), The Colour Factory and Village Underground. Last November he also returned to Manchester’s WHP alongside Central Cee, Knucks, Tiffany Calver & more.
