After sharing a series of cryptic vignettes on social media, Paris Texas releases their new EP, They Left Me With The Sword. The duo of Louie Pastel and Felix, who this week played six hometown sold-out shows on the Chromakopia world tour with Tyler, The Creator and Lil Yachty, released the EP’s lead single ‘infinyte’ earlier this week. The project will be soon accompanied by a music video encompassing the EP, co-written by the duo and Dan Streit (Charli XCX, BROCKHAMPTON, A$AP Rocky), who also directed it.
Born in the months leading up to the duo embarking on the biggest tour of their career, They Left Me With The Sword is Louie and Felix’s first offering of new music since their surprise single ‘RökKOut‘ in autumn. The EP is a spiritual sequel to the duo’s 2021 EP Red Hand Akimbo, which included fan-favorite single ‘girls like drugs‘.
Louie and Felix are ushering in the next phase of their ever-expanding vision for Paris Texas with They Left Me With The Sword: an aggressive new anthology centered around the duo with a secret, eerily familiar voice narrating the story. The EP is a more collaborative effort than the duo’s previous projects, with longtime friends and collaborators Billy Lemos and Dilip central to it coming together.
With the all-around world-building of their two early EPs Boy Anonymous and Red Hand Akimbo, Paris Texas cemented themselves as one of the most exciting new voices in music with MID AIR, which was critically lauded by the likes of The Guardian, Vulture, i-D, The FADER, the NME & more. Now, they’re taking their beloved, raucous live show on tour across the globe, playing shows across North America, the United Kingdom and Europe, and Australia & New Zealand in 2025 with Tyler, The Creator and Lil Yachty.
