One of the most exciting and unpredictable groups to emerge in recent years, the rock-leaning ‘cyanide’ perfectly captures Paris Texas’ sonic and visual flair. The video – which extends their collaboration with Aus Taylor, who directed the visuals for ‘HEAVY METAL’ and ‘FORCE OF HABIT’ – finds Louie Pastel and Felix in the middle of an onslaught of arrows from a glowing archeress played by fashion designer Mowalola. Featuring a collaboration from Terrible Records artist Cryogeyser, ‘cyanide’ sees Paris Texas push their creative boundaries and continue to build a world truly of their own.
Paris Texas introduced themselves in memorable fashion last year with ‘BOY ANONYMOUS’. With its dizzying range of song textures and moods, the project landed on numerous 2021 year-end lists and was swiftly followed by standalone EP, ‘Red Hand Akimbo’. Expanding Paris Texas’ undefinable combo of rap and punk energy once again, ‘Red Hand Akimbo’ featured the Kenny Beats co-produced ‘BULLSEYE” as well as ‘girls like drugs’ (which droppd with visuals directed by Zhamak Fullad and Raheem Hercule). ‘cyanide’ brings Paris Texas back to the forefront following their first-ever live shows, including London, New York and LA dates that sold out immediately. Having also toured with Brockhampton and played summer festivals around the US, catch Paris Texas at All Points East on August 19th (where they share a bill with the likes of Gorillaz, Idles and Pusha T).
Listen to and watch ‘cyanide’ now, and stay tuned for more from LA’s newest multi-disciplinary creative force, Paris Texas, coming soon in 2022.
