Leeds punksters Party Hardly continue to impress with their brand of politically charged, aggressive noise rock on full display throughout sophomore EP Modern Strife is Snobbish, out today (26th July).
Marshalled by rousing lead singles The Hopskotch Man and Rats In The Kitchen, the jangly rockers have feverishly developed their eclectic style, cutting through Yorkshire’s fierce DIY scene with aplomb and attracting praise from all corners of the music press (The Line Of Best Fit, Clash, DIY, Dork, The 405). “Modern Strife is Snobbish represents how our sound has developed and matured in recent times”, states frontman Tom Barr.
“Drawing influences from the dark, gritty undertones of our hometown, these tracks are some of our favourites to play live and we made a conscious effort to try and recreate the live sound with this record”. Having already supported fellow indie risers The Magic Gang and Trudy and the Romance and gained BBC Radio 1/6 Music airplay (Huw Stephens, Steve Lamacq), the foursome are primed to continue their ascent with a slew of live dates lined up in the autumn, Party Hardly’s Modern Strife is Snobbish is out now and available via all digital platforms.
