Phoenix Calling Peterborough Rockers Detail Debut EP ‘Waves’

Watch ‘Bring The Roof Down’ Video (out 20th January 2014)

Peterborough based UK rock quintet Phoenix Calling are building up a steady ground swell with their debut single ‘Bring The Roof Down’ boasting some pretty impressive collaborative credentials for newcomers, as it features backing vocals from none other than Deaf Havana‘s James Veck-Gilodi.

Originally released earlier this year, the band are now re-releasing the video for the single ahead of the release of their debut EP ‘Waves’ early next year.

Phoenix Calling also pleased to announced they will be releasing a brand new video for their next single ‘Everybody Knows’ over the coming weeks, again taken from their forthcoming debut ‘Waves’ EP set for release on Monday 20th January, recorded at Regal House Studios late last year – see below for tracklist and artwork.

Watch the Bring The Roof Down video here:

Fans of breakthrough UK bands Deaf Havana, Mallory Knox and Don Broco will be right at home with Phoenix Calling’s slickly produced riffage and expansive melodies but there’s also a touch of US influence from pioneers like Finch and Brand New lurking in the murkier verses that hints at something darker below the surface.

Waves EP tracklist:
1. Everybody Knows
2. Traces
3. We Were Young
4. Bring The Roof Down
Released 20th January 2014.
