PINS SHARE “DAZED BY YOU” VIDEO ON PAPER
UK TOUR LATER THIS MONTH; WILD NIGHTS OUT NOW ON BELLA UNION
Hot on the heels of their wildly successful second LP Wild Nights, PINS have shared their video for “Dazed By You” on PAPER. True to the Manchester band’s aesthetic, the video pairs their hazy sonic ruminations with antiquated Super 8 footage of a journey across America interjected with chalk-like drawings. In the end it’s a true testament to PINS: style, playful nostalgia and a sense of adventure.
“We made this video when we were on tour in America, driving across strange landscapes and visiting unusual places,” the band explains. “The filming was done when we drove 2,500miles, from Seattle to Michigan in a week. We stopped off at a natural hot spring on (PINS’ new keys and guitar player) Kyoko’s birthday, detoured though the Badlands, pulled over in the middle of nowhere to check out some old abandoned cars, and found an old petrol station in Jackpot, Nevada. The video was filmed on Super8, then drawn on, scratched and burned afterwards.
Wild Nights was recorded in Joshua Tree at Rancho De La Luna with the aforementioned Dave Catching and Hayden Scott, and mixed in New York with Ben Baptie at Atomic Sound NYC (Mark Ronson).
PINS’ UK tour begins later this month, and culminates in a date at London’s Oslo venue on 23rd September. Please email with any session, interview or guestlist requests.
