PINS have announced a fresh run of UK and EU dates for the new year. The announcement of their February 2016 tour comes in the wake of the Manchester five-piece’s recent shows with Best Coast,Gang Of Four and Stealing Sheep.

“Got It Bad” video

To celebrate, they’ve shared the video for new single “Got It Bad.” It was shot in the northern quarter and Ancoats districts of the band’s hometown by Sarah Jenny Johnson. “The song is wonderfully melancholic but its also, essentially, a love song so I wanted this to reflect in the way it was shot,” says the director. “Dipping in and out of focus constantly, blurry lights, handheld camera – almost ‘drunk’ in a way. Drunk in love.”
Wonderland Magazine, who premiered the video, commented: “comparisons to American bands like Dum Dum can be reductive, especially given that PINS definitely have their own identity: and a very British sounding one at that.”
PINS are also offering out “Got It Bad” as a free MP3 download. It’s available now from the Bella Union Soundcloud page.
Earlier this, PINS released second album Wild Nights via Bella Union to much acclaim. The album was recorded in Joshua Tree at Rancho De La Luna with the aforementioned Dave Catching and Hayden Scott, and mixed in New York with Ben Baptie at Atomic Sound NYC (Mark Ronson).
This year has seen a packed out touring schedule for the band supporting the likes of Sleater-Kinney, Drenge and Wire, as well as those aforementioned celebrated shows with Best Coast, Gang Of Four and Stealing Sheep.
