‘miss provocative’ is a political statement disguised as a pop banger as piri explains: “this song is about the triumph of the female pop-culture provocateur against the patriarchy trying to hold her down. we as a society have made incredible progress with freedom of self expression across the last century, but somebody had to break the boundaries first,  i want to appreciate these pioneering women across history who took the heat to make self-expression safer for us all.”

Stepping away from their signature drum’n’bass foundations, ‘miss provocative’ introduces a bold new chapter for piri & tommy and follows last month’s opening single ‘someone’. It’s a song that embraces joy, intimacy and pop ambition without losing the duo’s playful spirit. That journey continues on their upcoming EP, magic!, arriving soon. A dazzling showcase of their versatility, magic! sees piri & tommy break out of their dance music box and dive headfirst into pop, funk, disco and neo-soul.
