Self-proclaimed “stinky rock lords” Plastic have just dropped a brand new track called ‘Skin Is Peeling‘. Taken from their forthcoming debut album ‘Here, There Is No Gravity’, Plastic has unveiled a heavier, more seriously introspective side to their sound.
Matt Awbery (Vocals/Guitar) explains:
“Skin Is Peeling stands in contrast to the first track (Flossing) from the new album. Where Flossing brings a carefree nonsense, the shade can be seen in the darker, more brutal aspect with Skin Is Peeling. We consciously wanted to bring light and shade to the album, that theory represents us as a band as well as us as people.”
Plastic have the following shows lined up for August, make sure you check them out live at
5th August Skeleton Coast Festival – Hoylake Parade (INFO)
10th August Bar Bloc – Glasgow

Breathing new life into the contemporary guitar-driven scene, this Cheshire 4 piece are standing tall and proclaiming their manifesto for real music, music that comes from life. They also are going to have a bit of fun in the process!
With a penchant for grunge/alt sounds of the 90’s, but delivered in a 21st century way, Plastic make a statement about the “realness” of the music industry simply by existing. This is music played by real hands, dealing with real life stuff, for people that don’t want their entertainment served up on a Silver Platter.
Plastic are set to release their debut album ‘Here, There Is No Gravity’ in September, a ten-track statement of intent for a generation that doesn’t want to be defined.
Ahead of the new album you can get listen to a previously released split EP ” The Light, The Dark & The Overwhelming Nothing
