“…decidedly Mercury Revved up psych terrain; blissed out verses, fiery hooks, harmonized riffs.” Stereogum

“…wild and wooly, but also prone to moments of placid greatness.” SPIN

Psych rockers Pond have announced details of some June UK shows, following on from previous info that they’ll be performing at Primavera and Field Day festivals this summer.

As unveiled on Radio 1 by Huw Stephens last night, Pond will be playing Manchester’s Ruby Lounge on 9th June and London’s Koko on 10th June. These will be the Aussie quintet’s first UK headline shows in two years, as well as the first opportunity for UK and European fans to hear material from current album ‘Hobo Rocket’ played live and loud. Tickets go on sale 9am Friday 7th February from gigsandtours.com/go/pondpresale. The band have also been confirmed as the main support for Arctic Monkeys’ upcoming Australian and New Zealand tour.

In other exciting news from Pond’s kaleidoscopic world, they’ve released an expansive new track, ‘Colouring The Streets’, as taken from the soundtrack for new film ‘Spirit Of Akaska’.
