LIVE @ ZEBEDEE’S YARD, HULL – 24th JUNE 2017
LIVE @ THE RAINBOW OPEN AIR ARENA, BIRMINGHAM – 12th AUGUST 2017
This Summer, INNERCITY LIVE looks to put senses into overload as they announce some big nights of exceptional live music in Birmingham an Hull featuring the likes of PRIMAL SCREAM, THE FLAMING LIPS, plus very special guests.
Expect fireworks in HULL’S ZEBEDEE’S YARD on Friday 23rd of June, as transformative rock demigods Primal Scream get the weekend off with a bang with an explosive set of hits from their glittering repertoire. Expect “Moving On Up”, “Jailbird”, “Rocks”, plus choice cuts from their acclaimed latest ‘Chasomosis’ record. And keeping the Scream gang on their toes that same night – with a catalogue boasting a trove of indie gems the likes of “The Killing Moon” “Nothing Lasts Forever”, “Never Stop”, “Bring On The Dancing Horses” and so much more, support comes from none other than Echo & The Bunnymen.
Sky-rocketing 2017 rock hopefuls VANT complete Friday’s bill as they cut the ribbon with the razor edged tunes of their feverishly anticipated debut ‘Dumb Blood’.
Following up at the same site in HULL on Saturday 24th June 2017 before moving the party on to BIRMINGHAM’S THE RAINBOW OPEN AIR ARENA on Saturday 12th August, neo-psychedelic extraordinaires The Flaming Lips will be cramming their flight cases with their finest fancy dress, confetti cannons and whacked-out visuals with two face-melting live performances in mind. And also looking to expand your mind, though perhaps in a somewhat less kaleidoscopic manner, support comes from Public Service Broadcasting who will be looking to Inform, Educate and Entertain the city with a sample-tastic set of their beguiling brainiac pop at both Hull and Birmingham shows.
More guests will be announced in due course for both The Flaming Lips / PSB shows – watch this space.
Taking place at Zebedee’s Yard in Hull’s Old Town and The Rainbow Open Air Arena in the Digbeth area of Birmingham, tickets for all three events will be available on General Sale on Wednesday 1st March at 9am. Full details as follows:
