New album ‘The Family Tree: The Leaves’ out 25th March
London shows in April
Gearing up for the release of new album ‘The Family Tree: The Leaves’ next month, Radical Face A.K.A. Ben Cooper has shared the video for ‘Rivers In The Dust’.
‘The Family Tree: The Leaves’ is the third and final instalment of ‘The Family Tree’ album trilogy and will be released on 25th March via Nettwerk Records.
He explains: “This video was shot by my good friend, Destyn Patera, who filmed it entirely alone on some deserted farmland in South Georgia over the course of two nights. The time lapse shots alone took 4 hours each, and on the second night he was even stalked by what he assumes was a coyote. He never saw more than the eyes shining in the brush, but it was certainly no housecat and kept creeping around the building over the course of an hour. He tried to ignore, but between the animal and the cold, he got out of there soon after. I owe him one!”
Radical Face will play 15-date European tour in April, which includes thee London shows at The Forge. The tour is inspired and themed around characters from The Family Tree album trilogy and will feature original artwork and stories by Ben Cooper and full band performances of his music spanning over all albums.
Radical Face, has spent over a decade crafting a trio of albums that is tied together in the theme of a fictitious family spanning over a century. The tour will bring to a close an unprecedented musical journey that began in the back shed of Ben’s family home in Jacksonville, Florida nearly 10 years ago and solidifies him as a unique and prolific storyteller.
The first two albums in the trilogy, The Family Tree: The Roots (released 2011) and The Family Tree: The Branches (released 2013) debuted at #20 and #10 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart, respectively.
