Raf Rundell has released a video for his second solo track, Carried Away.
Carried Away sees a Raf lost in an Escher-esque estate in South London. In scenes that will be familiar to many, Raf’s confusion and desperation lead to a disastrous conclusion. Directors Paraic and Michael Morrissey said of the video: “We wanted to show a normal day in the life of Raf in his natural environment where he lives” while Raf added: “Under friendly October skies I did some method acting and it felt great.”
Built around a clattering psychedelic pop loop, Carried Away was produced by Raf and Simon Dine (Noonday Underground) features on Raf’s first half-length LP, the Adventures of Selfie Boy Part 1 alongside the modern Balearic classic Right Time (released on vinyl/DL on December 9th).
Next month, Raf Rundell heads out on the road with the mighty Black Peaches for a series of ‘post-truth’ live dates (somewhere in uncharted waters between an acoustic gig and a mobile disco show). He plays:
Dec 1st Sticky Mike’s Frog Bar, Brighton
Dec 2nd Start The Bus, Bristol
Dec 3rd Soup Kitchen, Manchester
Dec 4th Mono, Glasgow
Dec 8th Kamio (at the Red Gallery), London
Raf hosts A Yuletide Spectacular with Selfie Boy & Friends on December 17th in the basement of the soon-to-be-demolished Foyles building on Charing Cross Road. He’s also due to DJ at Regression Sessions at Great Suffolk Street Warehouse on New Year’s Eve.
