More on Raw Fabrics:
Raw Fabrics believe their songs must be first measured in value by their creative form after all the layers are stripped. Such standards are high for a band at any age but especially noteworthy of Raw Fabrics since singer-guitarist Jack B.Franco, bassist Justus Dixon and drummer Jon Fredrik are only recently of legal drinking age themselves.
Raw Fabrics formed two years ago in 2012 in Los Angeles when front man Franco became creatively restless and wanted to form a new band to play the new songs he was writing at that time. Those new songs were a striking departure and at the same time a natural progression from Franco’s former project that drew on influences from old school 70’s punk as much as mid 80’s hardcore – neither of which can define what Raw Fabrics really sounds like but they are good reference points.
Fortunately, he met drummer Jon Fredrik later that year. Franco’s Velvet Underground-esque riffs combined well with Fredrik’s nuanced playing, thus creating interesting noises and tribal grooves. This too became their initial standard for measurement in Franco’s new process of writing the best song of their lives every time they endeavoured to write a song.
Raw Fabrics began introducing themselves to the LA club scene during the summer of 2012 with Franco doing double duty on bass until they met and invited bassist Justus Dixon to join that winter.
Raw Fabrics insist on keeping things interesting and always injecting the hope of pure energy into every performance, recorded and live. It’s another truth they measure themselves by and that fans of the genre can count on them to deliver.
