A Q&A WITH THE AUTHOR Q: What was your inspiration for writing The Jetsetters?A: I’m a mom of three and my husband travels a lot. One morning, I saw an ad for a Mediterranean cruise and heard a small voice in my mind saying, “Amanda, you do not belong in this kitchen in a pink bathrobe . . . you need an adventure!” I started dreaming of taking my kids to Europe. I had never set foot on a cruise ship but thought it could be perfect to put a family with secrets on a ship together . . . there’s nowhere to escape! When I booked the tickets to Athens, my heart soared and I knew I was doing something right.Q: Which character was your favorite to write?
A: It was such a pleasure whenever Cord’s fiance, Giovanni, came into a scene. He’s bright and kind, someone who believes in love.Q: What do you hope readers take away from the novel?A: To me, the book is about wrestling with your childhood demons to find the place where you feel safe and loved.
