Revel In Flesh – ‘Deathevokation’

Revels In Flesh were formed in the autumn of 2011 consisting of ex members of bands such as Apophis, Immortal Rites and Dawn Of Dreams. Deathevokation consists of ten of the most brutal death metal tracks I’ve had the pleasure of hearing.

The ten tracks are diverse whilst keeping true to the classic death metal niche style. It is obvious that the guys in Revels In Flesh have been influenced by death metal heavyweights such as Cannibal Corpse.
    Although excellently mastered and delivered this genre is still a niche genre liked by thousands at the same time as being hated by thousands of music lovers. My message to them is to not take themselves or music to seriously and give this a chance.
    It may not be your thing but the musicianship displayed on this record is of sheer brilliance. Tracks such as “Opus Putrescence” and “Crowned In Darkness” stick out with their intensity and brilliant structure. 7/10
