Joint Headline Show Announced For The First Time Ever

London O2 Shepherds Bush Empire – Thursday 16th May

Seminal bands of the New Wave and Punk era – Rich Kids and The Professionals have announced a show at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush Empire for Thursday 16th May. This will be the first time both bands have ever shared a stage.

Rich Kids were founded in 1977 by Glen Matlock from Sex Pistols, Ultravox’s Midge Ure, and Rusty Egan from Visage. Their classic pop songwriting, blended with their Small Faces and Mott The Hoople influences saw Rich Kids release album Ghosts of Princes in Tower in 1978   This will be their first live show since their charity show in 2010, in honour of member Steve New.

The Professionals formed in 1979 by Sex Pistols drummer Paul Cook and guitarist Steve Jones and released singles “Just Another Dream” and “1-2-3”. In celebration of the release of a three disc set (The Complete Professionals) by Universal Music Group last October, The Professionals, with Tom Spencer filling in for Steve Jones, reunited for a concert at the infamous 100 Club.

2016 is the 40th anniversary of punk, so what better way to celebrate with a show at the iconic O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire.

Tickets go on sale Friday 05 February 2016 @ 09:00 – www.gigsandtours.com / 0844 811 0051.
